Mechanical Curtain Wall Anchor
Façade anchors are the critical load-bearing elements of mechanical curtain wall cladding systems, transferring the weight of ceramic, granite, composite, stone or aluminium panel cladding to the main building reinforced concrete structure. These systems are subjected to dynamic forces including wind load, seismic activity, thermal expansion and self-weight throughout the building's life — making correct anchor selection vital for structural safety. L Anchor & Wide-L Anchor
- L Anchor: The most widely used connector for fixing T and L profiles to the main wall in classic curtain wall sub-frame systems. Oval adjustment channels easily accommodate plumb deviations.
- Wide-L Anchor: Extended surface area model for heavy stone or granite cladding, or projects requiring a greater stand-off distance. Optimises load distribution for enhanced resistance to high wind pressure.
F Anchor
- A special F-geometry connector designed to grip and fix profiles from one side at corner junctions, façade terminations or along window/door reveals where space is limited. Provides maximum strength in confined areas.
U Anchor Types
- Standard U Anchor: The primary load-carrying anchor gripping the profile from both sides for bi-directional clamping with very high load capacity.
- Fixed / Sliding U Anchor: The combined channel design allows it to serve as either a fixed dead-load point or a sliding wind-load point that accommodates building settlement movement.
- Vertically Sliding U Anchor: Engineered to absorb vertical profile expansion caused by earthquakes, wind or temperature changes. Allows the profile to move freely in the vertical axis, preventing façade cracking or buckling.
